This summer Bob had a chance to catch up with our friends at the Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) and share his opinions on philanthropy and reasons behind our support (full article here). You may recall that earlier this year we sponsored a $100,000 match towards stroke research. The $200,000 raised through this match opportunity (along with other donor funds) went to support researchers at UBC’s Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health (DMCBH). As a result, we were able to get a peak into the world of brain research and the important work that gets done at the Centre. What is so unique about this place is the integrated care that a patient receives from stellar teams of clinicians, care providers and researchers. This model is truly essential for advancing the science and patient care.

We invite you to learn more about the work done at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health by following the link here.
