The Views: St. Paul’s Foundation

Who

It takes a village to build a village! There are many partners to this project beginning with Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences (CHÉOS), Providence Living, St. Paul’s Foundation and Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation and finally Conconi Family Foundation as the anchor funder.

What

Our collective goal is to fundamentally shift the long-term care sector in BC, beginning with the Vancouver Island. Imagine a long-term care environment that feels like home, that recognizes where residents are from, what they have experienced and how care can add new dimensions to their lives. The Conconi Family Foundation is championing principles-focused evaluation of long-term care that will inform the design of the built environment as well as the day to day experiences of the residents.

Why

Why this? To ensure we measure what matters and have a roadmap for creating lasting positive changes in how we care for the aging population in long-term care.

Wild Card

CHÉOS is leading the charge in this work that will inform a new model of care and be the first of its kind in Canada! To support their efforts, we launched a Conconi Challenge campaign and are matching 1:1 up to $500,000, please click here to donate if you’re interested!
