Turning on the Lights at Foundry North Shore
Foundry started as a vision project on how might we improve the care we offer to our youth – who are so full of promise and potential, but face challenges to their wellness. With incredible leadership and effort of multiple stakeholders who participated in building and executing this vision – it became a reality. Foundry established a new province-wide culture of care through development of centres and e-health services. Robert L. Conconi Foundation recognized the vision and hard work that went into Foundry and just what it all could mean in terms of better outcomes for youth, so we decided to help with the final stage of turning on the lights at the five centres across the province.
Since the beginning, Foundry has been a story of collaboration and partnerships with one goal in mind – to better serve our most vulnerable youth within the health system. The story of the North Shore Centres ,serving North and West Vancouver residents, is not very different either. Operated by the Vancouver Coastal Health it brings together over 10 different partner organizations to address the health care needs of youth ages 12 to 24 and their families.
Now that we have the centre (s) up and running, there is still a need for on going program development support and projects that might be required to better serve Foundry’s youth. If you wish to help you can do so here. You can select and fund your local centres or Foundry Central Office – an extremely important resource and backbone support of the Foundry network.
