RLCF ups matching contribution to $85K for Pender Island Fire Training Facility

Our campaign with Pender Island Fire Protection Society to raise funds for the construction of the Training Facility, has got some great momentum! We can’t be more thrilled! Because of the the amount of donations coming though we’ve decided to increase our matching contribution by $10,000 to a total of $85,000.

The campaign is running through the end of the month and if you have not yet made a contribution you may do so here. The Pender Fire and Rescue is hosting an Open House on October 11th, 2014 – and everyone is invited! The event will be held at the Fire Hall 1, 4423 Bedwell Harbour Road,  from 10am until 2pm.

Come join us and the Pender Fire and Rescue team on October 11th – as we say a big thank you to everyone who supported us during this campaign!

We are very fortunate to have the engagement and support of the Conconi Foundation for this, and many other island projects. It is great to see how real leaders understand the practical requirements of a community, and step in to truly make things better for all.
    Thank you!

Living in a small community makes me realize how important it is to have a clinic, library and most of all, trained firefighters/first responders. Thank you RLCF for being generous, understanding and making Pender Island a better place to live.

Being a resident of pender island since 1987 and becoming a member of PIFR and serving the community since1993, it continues to amaze me and is humbling that RLCF and the people of this island would pull together and continue to support our desire to provide the best service we can to the residence and this wonderful community.
Thank you RLCF and the people of pender! We couldn’t do it without your support!

Hi folks! There’s only one word to describe the support and commitment shown by our community in the quest for a new training facility for Pender Fire. Stunning! Incredible! Fantastic! OK, that’s more than one word, but it deserves more than one to convey our deepest appreciation. Special thanks to the Conconi Foundation for their most generous matching grant! WOW!

As a member of PIFR I would like to thank the
Conconi Foundation and the Pender Island community
as a whole for the generous contribution
towards our new training facility. Simply amazing!

It is easy to see that the community and RLCF
are just as committed to making Pender Island a safer place to live and to helping
the people who live here as we are.

Here is to you Conconi Foundation for being
the seed to starting all of this.

    Thank you!
